Excellent photoreference site.

I know I saw this site posted in another thread. I felt that it is well deserving of it’s own thread, since so many here have benefitted from it.

This is pretty much the best site I’ve used for free photos for texturing. All the pics are very high res and are great for mapping on a model. It’s all free. You do have to set up an account, but it’s well worth it.

cool thanks. you can never have enough

I’d like to bump this up again, for anyone looking for good highres photo reference.

http://www.everystockphoto.com/ is very good also, it searches all the best stock sites.

Must admit they dont like peolple reusing/reposting there collection of works.
So use it as reference/insperation.
Simply ask before you use.
I use there site for reference pieces, for I do Oil Painting as a Hobby.
Yes I copy from old masters work.:o Learn by imatating.

Hello… Im new to 3d modeling, and I just wanted to say thanks for these links. Ive never really thought about using referencephotos until I saw this thread, so again, thanks

If you’re looking for textures / reference images, try www.imageafter.com
I think they’re up to over 16000 high res images now. All free to download by the way.

I came across this thread on CG Society when looking for car reference images… I think its the mother of all reference threads.
