so I’m trying to install Zbrush, but as it gets halfway through completing the install (copying all the files ect) it comes up with a error saying-error copying file, then I have no option but to close it,
HELP
I’m using Windows 10

I’ve been trying to install ZBrush for the last 2 hours and turning off everything imaginable, still getting this exact same error.
Windows Defender is off, Avira is off, Firewall is off … don’t know what else to do.
Any other ideas?
Was everything off while downloading? We’ve seen quite a few cases where people disable those items after the download but by then the installer has been corrupted. Make sure they’re off while downloading, installing and activating. Turn them on again after activating.
Also as a last resort you might try downloading on a different network, then copying the installer to a USB stick to take to the computer where you will be installing ZBrush. Once in a while an ISP ends up being the culprit rather than anything on your computer.
It was indeed the installer that was corrupted.
Out of frustration I downloaded the installer again last night and it installed without a problem with the new installer, I think even with the Antivirus on.
But during the process of finding the problem for the first installer I probably deactivated something that was causing the corruption of the first download.
