Every step I take, every breath I breathe…Zbrush has some errors to throw at me…
(Is it just me? Even the simplest of tasks comes with some comment from Zbrush “oh sorry I can’t do that”)
What is strange is that I’ve changed nothing since I succeeded last time - back in October, I created a model in Rhinoceros 3D, saved as an .obj file, as a polygon mesh object, which loaded fine when I imported it into Zbrush.
But today, all of a sudden, Zbrush isn’t happy with the polygon mesh object I created in Rhinoceros.
It says "Error when importing a file " and ignores my ask to load it.
I’ve restarted Zbrush restarted my PC (Windows) and nothing - still error error error.
One thing that bothers me is when I exported the model into polygon mesh object, Rhinoceros keeps turning the object by 90 degrees in the Z-axis direction. i.e. it turns it around. See attached - this is my object imported and shown in Rhinoceros, it look like it’s placed horizontally on the ground (XY plane) but when I exported this, the original model is upright.
I really don’t know what the issue is - I can confirm it’s an issue with this particular obj because I tried importing the obj I fiddled with in October mentioned above, but once again, I literally haven’t changed anything in terms of export setting. Any idea what is going on? What are the requirements for Zbrush to allow import? Does it have to be a super simple 3d object, or something?
