Error "No UVs for this model. Please create before using this feature

OK, so I’m a little rusty here. But I’m having two problems with something I’ve never had a problem with before in R7.

  1. Creating a texture map from polypaint (that option down is greyed out down in “Texture Map.”

  2. I can’t use UV Master because it’s telling me I don’t have a UV map.

My project is a simple bust of a head I sculpted using Dynamesh, next I Zremeshed it. My poly or point count is 9,000.
Then I imported a texture into Spotlight and painted it on.

I tried deleting the old UV map and creating a new one. But still, when I go up to UV Master I get the same “No UV map” error message and still can’t create a new texture from polypaint.

Any ideas?

What are you doing in UVmaster to prompt the “No UV map” error message?

After Zremeshing, in order to create a UV map you need to go to UV Master and click unwrap. It does not even have to exist in the UV Map palette first… though you could set the map size before unwrapping if you like.

Once you’ve done that, then you can create texture from polypaint.
