Error has been encountered while trying to load brush preset

On the company I´m working on we have licenses for zbrush 4r7 and zbrush 4r8 because some clients have predilections for one or another, but we got an error when loading brushes.

We have a library of brushes that came obviously from 4R7, so when we load that brushes in zbrush 4r8 we can work with 0 problems, but as soon we work again in the 4r7 and try to load them, we got that error-

Of course, we don´t save or overwrite the brushes from 4r8, we just load them from our library.

Is quite annoying bug or something, Have you got the same problem?

I don’t know the exact reasons for that but as the update from 4R7 to 4R8 is free, there’s no reason for not upgrading, unless the user is unregistered. Pixologic doesn’t offer support for earlier versions, and there’s no backward compatibility for files.

Thanks for the answer, Unfortunately we can´t choose which version prefer our clients, but I can understand them, 4R7 is more stable version

Well, all you need is a library of brushes for 4R7 and a separate library for 4R8.
