You are beginning to model a face
The sphere is drawn and basically shaped.
You adjust the settings to radial and mirror.
How can you position the red dot cursors to where you want them.
When you put on cursor on the left eye,the second cursor is sometimes off by about 90 degrees.
In all the tutorials the cursors are exact in every instance and no mention is made of initial settings. I have tried to work around it by modelling the eyes and them shaping the face, but it is frustrating
Thank you
Hi Rtyer
I believe that is a script inside the prog who give you a sphere + 2 righ points mirror
symettry
(maybe his name is “sphere modeling for beginner” but I don’t remind exactly the tittle)
Try it, you will have no problem with it!
You can also press Quick render + Polyframe in the Edit Menu for a better view assist!
Hope this help!
Pilou
Mr. Pilou.
This is the second time you have come to my assistance.
My thanks again.
If I may press my luck and your patience.
I have tried what you are talking about and it works.
Do you have any idea how "they"set it up
Merci Beaucoup ( sorry Cameo )
Hi Rtyer
I you take 2 points Radial X or Z Symetry mirror I think you will scuplt with facility
Pilou
If you are sculpting from a sphere, I recommend that after setting the Initialize menu the way that you want, you then use the Rotate X deformation at a value of 90. This will rotate the model so that it draws with the poles at the top and bottom rather than pointing directly toward you. You’ll find that the sculpting is a bit easier when you don’t have all those polygons coming together right where you want the nose to be.
many thanks!!!
Mr.Aurick
Rotate was the answer.
Thank you very much.
A lot of time was wasted by me on this.
One observation.
In the tutorials and the manual ( which I have printed out)there is no mention made of this.Nor do the scripts show settings of this nature.
Since the scripts, basically, cannot be stopped step by step. How can we know vital information of this nature? Would it be listed in the txt that accompanies a script.
I have printed these out also and have seen no mention of settings of this nature.
Hi Rtyer
You can stop a script when you want
Just move the mouse on the Logo of Zbrush up left corner side!
And restart when you move the mouse in another place!
Hope this help!
Pilou
When playing scripts, it helps to have Show Actions turned on in the ZScript palette. In addition, as Frenchy has said you can pause a script. While paused, you can step forward through it by clicking the mouse without moving it out of the corner.
Hi Rtyer
The script inside the prog is named “Start_Modeling”
So you have a 3d Sphere for beginning your hard work of sculpting with 2 points !
Hope this help!
Pilou
Many thanks.
During the scripts you cannot see the change of settings to rotate 90.
I realiaze the settings are correct for the start modelling and have used it as you say.
But this is building on the work of another and I learn nothing from it.
Also if this setting is “hidden” how about the next tutorial with another setting?
For instance to make the material transparent, the flatten layers in render must be turned off( Thank you Aurick).
If this one item is not done no tranparency.
Zbrush is fantastic, best purchase I ever made. But there are so many combinations of elements that must be done for a task to be completed.
Again, beating this to the ground, I thank you gentleman for your time and patience.
If this seems as if it is a diatribe, it is not directed at you, only myself and my frustrations.
I am ,by nature ,an independent type of person. To ask for help and bother someone is not easy for me.
I also don’t quit.
Thanks again.
I usually depend on and rely on books
Hi Rtyer
Have you see That?
You can load directly in Zbrush any thread!!!
Maybe this can help you too
