hey guys! i hope this is the standard channel to post finished works and WIPs since this is my FIRST POST EVER on zbrushcentral! OUUH! super sweet!

so yeah im new with Zbrush… actually ive discovered 3d arts when i joined the Ubisoft campus in June 2009. since then i went crazy in 3ds max and later in Zbrush and came to the realization it’s pretty much my passion! :slight_smile:

i did some small works and 2 character models that i won’t show because either there are just drafts or because they are in the uninteresting T-pose.

but here in attachment is something im relatively proud of! i’ve tried modeling Edward Norton’s head from American History X and even though it’s not 100% perfect, most people recognized him so im pretty happy! some part might feel low on resolution too, but i felt i didnt need to detail those parts as much as the others (hairs, ears…)

i hope im allowed to do that kind of publicity but you can check my deviantart profile if you want to see 2 lowrez/mediumrez characters i retopologized and rendered in 3ds max from the zbrush models i was talking about earlier!

by the way is it possible to post turntables in avi format on zbrushcentral? that way i wont have to post link of external sites…

Realy good job, keep going to define more some elements like hears.

I’ve recognized him. This is my favourite actor :+1: I think his chin should be a bit narrower. But it is great!

Great sculpt, saw it was him straight away. Look forward to seeing some fine detailing and textures! That and some assymetry…will be awesome

the quality is so-so and there is a green frame before looping but it’s better than nothing!

i totally agree he kinda looks like bale in the last one! maybe because of the angle… or maybe the chin thing cyril_but was talking about! hehehe :wink:

Hey there!

I made some modifications to mister Norton: changed the morphology of the head (skull, forhead, chin, cheeks), went a level of detail higher and added some subtle skin texture, sharpened the hair, and played for the first time with the zbrush renderer instead of taking simple screen shots! :stuck_out_tongue:

I think it’s a fairly good improvement from last one so I decided to post it! Next sculpture, my goal will be to make sharper and deeper skin details.

Is there a way I can download this somewhere? It looks awesome!! Im having a hard time making this myself.
