Hey everyone. Long time no post. I’ve been busy at work, but have managed to find the time to put together a tutorial DVD for Eat3D. Below are two images that I created during the making of the video.
Well if your wonderful sculpt is any indication of the DVD I’m going to have a look. Good Luck!
Gary
Is the hair painted in Photoshop, or is it part of the 3d model?
Very nice! I like the top render better. Is the bottom render using HDRI?
By the way, check out my youtube channel to see a ZBrush turn around and a clip form the introduction of the DVD.
Great work !!!
The top render is using a Physical Sun and Sky with a portal light, and the bottom render is all portal lights with MIB Blackbodies.
Great model man!!! This work is impressive!!! Top Row!!!small_orange_diamond

Outstanding work, can’t fault the skin at all. Love the expression too.
just a little improvement around the cloth, which feels like plastic or is that the idea? the eye seems to lack a little more reflection or wetness to it.
the teeth is too clean.
Those are little things, but overall, a impressive work.
Cool, will it be on cgpersia soon? Just kiddin
I love the skin!
Fantastic work, great, great work, top row!!!
nice work does your eat 3d video cover how you rendered this? explaining shaders textures lighting and what not? or is about how you sculpted it?
The video is not about sculpting this model. It is about going from ZBrush to Maya, setting up textures (including displacement and normal maps), setting up lighting, materials, rendering in Mental Ray, and compositing in Photoshop.
I figured no one needs a lesson in sculpting, but if you guys want it let me know.
sounds awesome i look forward to seeing your video. by the way i like your portfolio quite alot.
NICEEEEE!!!
very nice render
wow. usually not so keen on plain photo-realistic renders, but this is an exception, because it really has a lot of character. a face that tells a million stories.
clearly top row material.
Tony did such an amazing job in this DVD. Not only is he a great artist but he is also a great instructor.
