Great forms, keep pushing!

I think this could be a nice character if you take it further.

Husse

so I’ve been putting some more hours into the sculpt, especially the hand and feet.

I want him to look really intense and exagerated like a simon bisley painting but i’m just having trouble finding a balance.

Any help is greatly apreciated.

It seems like you have the knowledge of anatomy and whatnot… but you seem to be struggling with the tools.
I want to say you are using the standard or something similar. Try building the muscles and such up with the clay tubes that way you can avoid the lumpy look. Clay tubes… anywhere from 20 to 35 on the Z intensity should be good.

See where that gets you  Because if you say you are putting the hours into this then by just using the clay or clay tubes should send you flying in a whole new direction.

I agree. Clay tubes works wonders sometimes. I would also suggest to move down some sub d levels and try smoothing out the lumpy-ness. It looks like you are working the volume of the model at a high rez and sometimes when you do that things can become very distorted and lumpy. Give it a try.

yeah bud, great work. as the others said, smooth out those lumps on the lips and eye lids, and try some clay or clay tubes for the muscles, you find it really smooth and easy to get the forms built up.
also for his gloves and maybe his shirt (or what ever he wears in the cartoon) use a mask and extract a new subtool. this way you wont have to stretch the mesh around so much, and will make it easier to understand what is what.
