Dynamic Symmetry messing my usual workflow

I usually work like this, make mask selection of an area and either move/scale/rotate to adjust the portion and usually it mirrors it over to the other side, unfortunately with the new set up of the gizmo space being the symmetry guide it breaks this method for me. Tried looking for an non “dynamic sym” option without any luck, also tried a few other things but it’s just not working. Is there some other way I should be doing something like this?

This! 2023 totally broken symmetry. I get this is a new ‘feature’ but let’s have an alt-function or toggle so we can use LSym like previous versions. This is absolutely maddening! Been trying to find a solution for days, no luck yet! Where’s Pixologic support at? They had to know this was totally busted.

Already did. Still waiting on some sort of reply.

I have had a ticket in for this for a few days as well, with no response yet. I’m going back to 2022.0.7 for now, this is too critical an issue for me to try and continue with 2023. Frustrating.

Yeah, same here. Seems like many are excited about this update, maybe they haven’t actually used it yet to see how it can break workflow… maybe my workflow is wrong…? But hopefully they revert it back and add a “Dynamic” addition to the button, like Solo button, so if you want it Dynamic you can activate it. I see needing a movable sym as something once in a blue moon tool, but again, maybe I just work wrong. I was hoping to watch the latest streams to see how people work with the new gizmo, but all the streaming artists are still in 2022.
