Dynamesh workflow

Hi guys,
I have a problem about dynamesh workflow. I don’t know if I need to keep dynamesh on until the final resolution and details or Dynamesh is just for making the base mesh and I need to turn it off when I pleased with the base mesh so as to add resolution and final details.
I’m aiming at rendering the sculpture using Vray and 3ds max so I confused about the workflow. Which one would you recommend:

  1. Exporting a high detail model from Zbrush into 3ds max and render it using Vray proxy.
  2. Exporting displacement and normal maps from Zbrush and applying it to the base mesh in 3ds max.
    Thanks.

Once you have the base mesh roughed in with Dynamesh, turn it off and run ZRemesher on the model to get a nice even topology. Then subdivide as needed to add more detail.

Your two options depend on the final size of the model and how well the renderer can handle it. If you need to reduce the polycount for the renderer, then unwrap the UVs of a copy of one of the lower subdivisions and create a normal map for it from the highest subdivision.

Thank you.
