Dynamesh is not updating, it seems to be "stuck" [Answered]

When I’m using Dynamesh, occasionally it will get “stuck”, and will not change the resolution. For example, if I’m at 64 then I go to 128, it may get stuck there and will not update to 256, 512 etc. It also will not update down to 64 or 32. I’ve tried both the ctrl +click and drag method, as well as manually clicking the Dynamesh button on and off, but either way the resolution stays the same, and there’s no “updating…” message.

I find this to be odd, since I haven’t read of anyone else having this problem. Is it possible I inadvertently hit a button or clicked a setting that’s causing this?

I had this Problem too but i found out that (at least in my case) i had to actualy do something to the Mesh before it would
update to the new Resolution. (If you have a “normal” Polymesh3D and then turn it to a Dynamesh, it will take the Resolution you defined before pressing the “Dynamesh”-Button. If you now lower or heighten the Value and then try to Re-Dynamesh without having done anything to the Geometry, then it would not update instead you have to do some very small Geometry-Changes (i use a small Smooth-Brush and do just one small stroke somewhere on the Surface). If you Re-Dynamesh after that, it should work.

Perhaps a more advanced User than me can give some more insight on this.

Yes, as Jahkri says (thanks Jahkri  ), you need to make a small adjustment to the mesh for it to update after changing the resolution slider.
