Dynamesh and UVMap question

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a tutorial for beginners and a couple of question have come to mind that are causing me a minor issue.

Firstly I have a model with 3.6 mil poly’s. I can’t use Dynamesh on this item as nothing happens for some reason. ! I use make polymesh and then Dynamesh and this brings the count down to 1 million poly’s.

Q. 1, Why isn’t dynamesh affecting my model. Any ideas please.

Q.2 Even with a 1 Mill poly model I’m can’t use the PUVTiles on 2048 which it should be able to handle 1 million poly’s, why is that. ! but does work at 4096(wasteful I understand)

Anyone please give a few hints as to how some of these issue can avoided or corrected , thanks.

Thanks for this, Sorry for being vague, it was not intended. Your help has solved the issue about not being able to apply the PUVTile map at 2048. I have no idea why the 1.1 mil poly would not be accepted but 600K certainly does.
