Duplicate and/or mirror weirdness

Me again

I encountered something strange that never happened before.

I have a subtool I want to duplicate and/or mirror ( it happens with all subtools in the project by the way…)
I use either subtool-duplicate or zplugin-subtool master-mirror and while subtool is duplicated and/or mirrored it changes scale and get bigger?! Like there’s some weird history turned on… If it was Maya I’d just do freeze/delete history routine… But here I don;t get what could be the problem.
Symmetry is off, model is nicely centered, and even overall scale is within desirable xyz = 2

However, if I copy subtool to a new tool, duplicate or mirror it, everything works fine. Weird part is that once I want to copy it back to original tool, it gets scaled again?!

Workaround that solved the problem was to merge all subtools into new tool, then split everything like it was and, tada! both mirroring and duplicating work normally.

And that confuses me even more since everything is the same ( scale, document size, properties… )

Anyone has a clue what could be a reason for quirky and weird behavior?

Thanks in advance.

Hello @djorzgul

I don’t know either. The subtool should not change size if duplicated within its original tool, and the information you’ve provided is not sufficient for me to understand your situation.

Tool > Geometry > Modify Topology> Mirror and Weld is typically how one would mirror geometry from one side to another in Zbrush.

Yes, I know… That’s why I got super confused what’s going on…

Anyway, workaround solved a problem…
Thought someone will know what’s the cause

Thanks.
