well done, but I think the shadows are too harsh.try increasing the rays & Angle in the BPR shadow section of the Render menu.increase the rays to about 15 and the angle to 30 or something like this( this will help shadow start spreading).and of course you can increase the res depending on the scale of your model.anyway hope this can help you.keep it up & good luck.
Thanks for this , I changed some of the overall setting as well as the BPR Shadow you mentioned. I hadn’t been made aware of those settings yet but now I see I should have been. Taking your advice I also checked the resolution and doubled it, changed ambient light and came up with this. A lot better but i would still like to try a few more setting and BPR runs too.
Thanks for the help.
This is a lot better I think.
now it’s a lot better.;) glad you found it useful.
did you use skinShader material for the worm body? that’s nice but personally I prefer using standard material with the wax modifier on for the skin(at least when I’m sculpting).you can increase the strength of wax under the material menu in the wax modifier sub menu.then you just have to turn the “wax preview” on in the render menu.waiting to see more from you.keep it up my friend.
The worm body does use the skin shader, a cvpoly paint with a touch of wax and blur in render. I think a small amount of wax looks like it gives the skin a little depth and glow, at least how my eyes persieve it, which I just happened to really like.
Thanks for your comments but mostly for your help.
