Very nice :+1: . Perhaps it lost some forms of the silhouette, specially in the buttock.

Start with removing the wrinkle across the ass cheeks. The material should be fairly smooth there unless its a canvas dress

Pencracker/mentok : Thank you for your comments. I will go back and refine the silhouette in that area.

By the way I meant to say its lookin really good though…

its funny, before i saw this thread I was discussing with a friend how potentially useful zbrush would be to fashion/costume designers.

Thanks mentok. Funny how that works sometimes :). I will have an update soon.

wow … excellent job man … the feel of the cloth is so real

ditto the cloth is amazing, as well the form
is very life-like. I wish I could offer some
critique, but I am out-classed!!

well done. :+1:

That’s a nice dress. I can’t wait to see more from you.

That’s fantastic. Great choice of subject.

What reference did you use? Why did you chose to make the polys double sided in the fabric and how hard was it to model as a result?

muzik_Super Glitcher_InkySpot:Thanks you for all your good comments.

biserk:I actually went in a store and took pictures of a real dress. I wanted to give thickness to the fabric to make it as lifelike as possible and it had to be planned well not to be overlapping and messy.

Being a new member here, I had to make sure one of my new posts went to saying how awesome this is. You’ve done amazing on this piece.

Okey kwl i like this dress …wel done … im wondering did you do everything in zbrush or some pre work in 3ds max or maya aswel?

Great work Tiber:+1:

I have been researching dresses lately too. I started working on my first girl in a dress sculpt but it is nowhere near where you have gotten.

I do have on minor crit. The draping on the halter straps seems wrong. I would expect it to be more taut from chest to neck. I believe there should be a slight gap between the cloth and the body between the pectoralis major/chest muscles and the clavicle with the cloth pulled almost straight in profile. And another cloth/body gap between the clavicles and the neck.

Hope that made sense.

Kristopher_Lee : I’m honored :D.

Angelblade : Everything was actually modeled in xsi just enhanced in zbrush.

poda : It makes a lot of sense, i found it a very tricky to get right. I will see what i can do. Thank you.
