Drawing-sculpting-old and new

Hello!!! a community where I’ve been coming for years, with great pleasure and admiration, (even if I haven’t posted in a long time!)…
I’ve unearthed some (very) old drawings and paintings, and I’ve redone some of them in zbrush; about 35 years separate these images, and I was curious to see what had evolved with the sculpture in Zrush… Anyway, as you can see, back then I could pretty much draw the human form, but the crocodile’s hind leg, mmm… Well, there was no Internet in those days, for documentation!..

![pithecantrope-zbrush|1000x1142](uploa little pithecanthrope, in that classic frazettian position, in the 90’s… in the painting, I couldn’t take away that “perverse” side, which wasn’t intended!..

in the end, the drawing was perhaps more expressive… on the whole, in the versions sculpted in zbrush, I don’t touch the storytelling of the initial images…,

yes, it’s been quite a while, since the days of the only sphere, in zbrush… it’s been a total success, zbrush!!! …
( this post is a bit nostalgic, I guess, having modeled drawings from my youth! )

It’s yourself!!
You said you were going out for wine 40 years ago but you never came back?!!
Now here you are with stories to tell.

Lovely to see new posts and hope all is well. :sun_with_face:

Hello Mark!
and no, not all frenchies are going to be buying wine for decades; sometimes it’s bread!
Mark, I’ve been following your images as they come in, always with pleasure and wonder! we’re probably far enough away for our work zones… I hope to be close to you, for the constant pleasure of making our own world exist!

there’s just about fifteen years between these two images, one being one of my first attempts at painting in photoshop, the other being a recent modelling in, of course, zbrush… so there’s not too much difference between the two… 'just in zbrush, the subtle pleasure of adding details)![mountain-zbrush|1000x856]
