Draegloth (in progress)

I’m making this model based on an original creature of Dungeons and Dragons named Draegloth, this is my second real project in ZBrush (Im going to upload my other model soon, a Mosasaur).
This is only the base, I’m now working in the texture and some cool lights in Maya, by the way, the Draegloths have hair, so, I’m going to do it in Maya hair  , hope you like it:

Texture updated, rendered in Maya using mental ray skin shader, and I’m not sure if I will let those glowing eyes.

Cool choice of creature!

I just finished reading the War of the Spider Queen series, and was actually thinking about making a model of Jeggred, but now you’ve f%^ed that up for me:lol:
You’re off to a good start. The shape of the head is perfect. If I were you though, I’d work on the teeth some more. A drageloth should be able to bite out your throat, and those little nubs don’t look very menacing. Are you doing a bust, or will it be a full body? I’ll definitely keep my eye on your thread.

Im glad that you liked it, you’re right about the teeth, I think im going to at least double the size and see how It looks, and I’m learning Maya hair, so I wish that I could put a nice looking hair in my monster.
Now I only planning to finish the bust, but maybe in the future I will do it in full hair (I thinked about it first, so I let the head shape separately of the neck so I can join it to a possible full body)

What do you think about his eyes? maybe too bright? or I must use another color?

Thanks!

I’d keep the color of the eyes, but lose a lot of the glow. I think it would be kind of hard to sneak up on someone in the underdark if your eyes are the lit ip like light bulbs…and for the love of JESUS, don’t make him purple!!! Why does everyone make drow purple? They are black! Pitch black. Just for a lark, use the gorilla material in the default zmaterials, just to see what it would look like on your model.
