Am I missing something? I got 2 serial numbers in my email from them just now for my purchase. I was able to generate a license for Zbrush to Keyshot and the other serial is for Keyshot, doesnt generate anything on the same site. Ok, I have a link for the download on the email…the only download on there and it is the “Zbrush to Keyshot Content.exe” I am missing something…? I dont have the program Keyshot? And no link to instal? What did I do wrong? Been a long 2 days and no direct PROBLEMS forums for this Keyshot stuff…

I think I’m just getting tired.

Zbrush Keyshot Bridge and Keyshot for Zbrush are two different things.

The Keyshot Bridge is included by default in Zbrush, and will prompt you to activate it with the license file you generated the first time you try to use it.

The second serial is for Keyshot. Install Keyshot (you should have the link there in your email, if not just grab Keyshot 5 from the Luxion site), and use the second Keyshot serial to activate Keyshot itself through Luxion.

yeah, i guess that is part of the problem then, the only 2 links i have are the 2 I have shown. One to create the license and the other was a link to download the content. The link to download the software, Keyshot, must have gotten left off. I will look on Luxion’s site, i guess I thought it was a special version of Keyshot. Thanks for the info, will see what i can do.

Your email differs in structure from the one I originally received. I’m not sure what the reason for the difference is. They may be attempting to reduce the size of the emails to deal with the ISP throttling issues they’re experiencing, but I couldn’t really say.

As far as I can tell, the Keyshot for Zbrush serial just plugs into any copy of Keyshot, and unlocks the KS for ZB features. I could be mistaken about that as well, but barring an official answer I say give it a shot.

THANK you, Spyndel, THANK YOU!! YES, I got on Luxion’s site, downloaded Keyshot and used my Serial # to activate. Problem with the Serial Number they sent me also was the way it showed up. Was just kind of unusual

Which was just kinda odd if you didnt know better with all the dashes in the wrong place. Something wrong with the generator of these codes maybe. BUT i am gonna be up late now, gotta PLAY.

THANKS AGAIN so MUCH to you SPYNDEL!! AND to the Pixologic SUPPORT, for getting to all these tickets!! I can only imagine the nightmare it was with all the problems BUT i understand, they made the customer number one for sure, I can appreciate that.

thanks for this, guys. Verified what I was thinking since I had to go to keyshot site to grab it, but now everything is running fine and smooth.

Hey guys,

I have bought the keyshot bundle and it works like a charm. The only problem is that when I tried to activate Keyshot on my second computer it tells me the license is already in use. The Bridge worked fine, its just keyshot itself that does not work for my second computer. Do I only get a Keyshot license for a single computer or is there somethign I have missed? It would be a pity not being able to use it on my second machine.

That would be an issue with the way Keyshot licensing works, which I don’t pretend to understand. Check the official R7 questions and troubleshooting sticky thread at the top of the page. I know that issue has been explored by other users, and the answer may be in that thread somewhere.

KeyShot licensing works in a different way to ZBrush. You can have up to three installations of KeyShot for ZBrush but only one activated at a time. If you need to move your license, you can deactivate the license under the Help menu (PC) or KeyShot menu (Mac). Please make a note of your serial code, and then enter the information including serial code when activating KeyShot on the new machine.

You only need to do this once. KeyShot will remember the information you entered so you can simply deactive on one machine, and activate on another with a single button push. You can activate/deactivate any number of times.
