Dokkaebi

Made for Local Community Event.

My friend told me about it and I use this opportunity to explore Fibermesh technique as well as making local connection.

During the making of the model, my 6 Yo GT740M 8GB RAM i5 Processor was dying since I have no choice but to work on my laptop since I was abroad, so I have no setup to work with.

thankfully if you use Zbrush correctly, you can cheat a lot of stuff to optimize the model. some poly modeling (Zmodeler) was used during the process to save polycount and for cleaner topology to sculpt, have some understanding of basic poly modeling is very Useful in this case.

History and Subtool management play an important role when the scene got heavier, you can Isolate complex part to different tool for easier part management, adding detail and color there then decimate it for later assembly.

The laptop is now dead and is on repair. I’ll buy newer and proper one in a few months, this one did great.

also The Fibermesh result was much better than anticipated and
some custom brushes were developed to work with fibermesh in Zbrush and Maya Xgen for production.
the brushes will be released for free when development in done.
