does Intuos 5, touch ability work with zbrush?

Has anyone tried wacom intuos 5 with zbrush? does the touch ability work only with 2d software? i cant seem to make it work with zbrush and maya. What features we can use with zbrush ?

Hi, no answer to your question I’m afraid, but I’m hoping to upgrade my Intuos3 to a wireless 5 and am not sure about the touch bit. Not sure if it’s worth the extra money, how do you use the touch in other apps?

Thanks
Steve

i tried in photoshop,it lokes useful but im a 3d artist. so its not very useful for me… i am hoping that there will be some new driver updates for 3d applications. will be glad if i can use touch instead of alt ctrl or shift combs in 3d softwares : /
other than that, its like using an ipad on windows. if you get used to it you dont use mouse. but i still use my mouse mostly on windows …

Thanks buddy, I did wonder. You can see the potential for pinch zooms and the like but no use if software does not properly support the idea natively. A driver later over the top can help but probably no substitute for proper integration. Maybe Windows 8 will encourage windows app makers to utilise the these tablets a bit more.

It’s new and most software doesn’t have it implemented yet or if they do not much. Right now it’s not worth the extra money for the feature. Later on when Zbrush and other programs start to utilize the feature it may become very useful.
