Does anyone use Ulead Photoimpact with Zbrush?

Iv use Photoimpact for the Demo for general photo editing but not for texturing. Is there anyone that uses this with zbrush by means of Zapp or other and how does it compare to Photo elements, I want to perchase one or the other?

(please dont put this in the other comercial apps thread, it will get lost and not seen)

Thanks.

…is very more easy than toshop (not element)

Thanks for your reply.

What it is, I want to learn how to texture externaly like one would in Photoshop. Being I dont know what functions or tools are used for this process, I wont know what to look for in Photoimpact.

I asume layers, some kind or free form or morph or move tool, copy symmetry and some kind of heal brush are needed? I have tryed v12 of photo impact andlike it alot, I just dont want to find out in a month or so that Photoshop has some essencial features that are used directly for texturing that PhotoImpact dont have.

I did ask on Ulead forum and got not one single reply, that was months ago.

To create textures and alike Ulead Software is more than capable. But there is one caveat which might be a deal breaker. And that are Layers. Ulead 12 can import Photoshop files with layers, but then is unable to fully support all PS layer options. On import the PS layers are either merged as good as possible, or loaded as Ulead Objects in which case not all PS options are supported. So, PS Images without layers can easily be read, but documents with a more elaborate layer setup might not be processed as expected. In the case of ZBrush the challenge would be with the import and export of multi layer documents out of the PM or other tools. So… yes, ULead has a great program, but it’s not 100% what you are looking for I fear.
