Hi so I am checking out the Charicter Creator 3 soft ware, and one thing I am wondering about is if I model an object in Zbrush and I apply a texture and or ?material to it (have mostly done modeling for 3D printing so not that informed on working with textures). Can you get the object into Character creator with the material. CC3 does have a Goz functionality but I am not sure if that works to bring in materials. Just wondering if anybody on the forum might know about this.
Thanks
Hi @Zolly
This is the first time I have ever seen someone asking about Character Creator 3 on this forum, and I have been here quite a while. You also might have better luck asking this on a CC3 forum too. Good luck!
Thats odd? Guess you have not seen this post by Pablo from Zbrush Guides.
Yes! He’s never in this forum. That’s from the Artworks forum from two years ago. Maybe you should go ask him then.
@Zolly I don’t know much about CC3 but I’m guessing by the link that it can be used for posing. If that’s what you’re after then Pablo Munoz Gomez recently posted this video on posing characters. Includes a technique using Mixamo (see time stamps). Might be useful.
Cheers.
all I know about the GOZ format, it stores properly all textures map applied to a models when you export it from ZBrush.
Hope it Helps!
Nicolas
I missed these videos at first, in my research on this, Kyle Brown addresses this in this video series.
Thanks again for the replies.
Nice videos by some one working Zbrush and using CC3:
