Is there a way to display poly counts in the UI? I can’t seem to find it.

Hover your pointer over the object in the tool palette and the poly info pops up.

Now is there a script that displays the polys when run so it’s in UI the whole time you’re sculpting. I recall seeing something like that in someones screenshots in the forum where the poly counts were displayed at the very bottom of the UI.
Its hidden somewhere in the Preferences palette. Maybe Preferences 
Utilities ? I can’t check as I’m on holliday right now.
Btw, I forgot to post the Zscript you requested before I left. If you still want it give me a shout and I’ll try and find some internet cafe that allows uploading of files.
