Displacements: Is it okay to use an AUVRATIO other than 1 on my model?

High quality displacements are extremely sensitive (which is why the best displacements come from a 16 bit map rather than a regular 8 bit image). This means that the change in scale between polygons caused by AUVRatios other than 1 will usually result in undesirable artifacts in the final render.
