Displacement Zbrush to Maya - Impossible! Why? please help

Hi all
ive spent the last 3 days - 30 hours and got nowhere! ive followed every tutorial to a tee on the net, to no avail - i cannot
understand whats happening!
Ive sculpted in ZB, then uv mapped cleanly, then created approx node for MR, set mid to 0 in Zbrush disp, exported
low res model, ive tried it all, it just wont work!
if anyone has any info let me know, so frustrated, its crazy why its just exploding, ive tried alpha gain offset, is luminance,
the lot - i just cant get my head around it!
im using maya 2015, man it bombs out alot too!

please help me out - ive tried every tutorial on web, every one!!!

TO render displacement in maya is a head ache , you have to set up the approximation nodes and then tweak the diplacement settings . Thank God i left Maya , Modo is where the future is .

Hi James, Rendering in Maya is the easiest thing. Just GoZ the file to Maya and render with MentalRay. Zbrush sets up everything for you. Just remember to render with MentalRay. Please let me know if this works or if you need any more info.
