Displacemap black line on uv edges !! :(

Hi all
I have some kind of a gap between my uv edges in some parts…see the pic.
How does it happen?
i rendered it with maya mentalray and max vray…both of them have the same problem… :expressionless:
No overlapping uv.,i also tested goz…and any other possibilities…

Hi!

Looks like a map seam issue.

Try to blur your disp map on this area, see if that works.

Or expand your gray area on the map. This can be a border problem to.

But i wish i knew the reason. :-s

maybe it’s double side edge problem or npoly problem by zbrush
and try to push away texture islands from each other so it make even more space between them and see the diffrence.

I found the problem but dont know how to solve it. Its all about the mentalray smooth modifyer Approxsubdiv…! it smooths the uv borders. :cry:
When i add the smooth myself it works fine. In max changing the displace mode from 2d or 3d to subdivide solves it .
Still working on it :rolleyes:
