Hi there!
I can’t solve a problem I have with the ZModeler:
When I press alt on a surface a temporary polygroup is assigned (white). That is often helpful, however, when i try to use “alt” for other reasons (e.g. polygroup a polyloop with a new pg-colour) i can’t . It always turns white, assuming I want another temporary pg. How can I turn this off? Anyone experienced this? Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks, Christopher
Press and/or hold ALT while tapping on one or more polygons assigns a temporary, white polygroup to the selection. Then perform any action on that selection as if if was a single polygon, for example QMesh. The QMesh action will create new polygons with new polygroups. If you then tap ALT (one or more times) before lifting your pen, the polygroup colors assigned by the QMesh action will cycle to alternatives. However if you lift your pen and then tap ALT, lifting of the pen will signal QMesh has finished and tapping ALT will again create a temporary polygroup.
So, to polygroup a polyloop, set target to polygon, action to polyloop and tap on the polygon with the orange line pointing in the direction of the required polyloop. The polyloop color will change. To change it to another, tap ALT until you get the color you want before lifting the pen.
Ok, thank you so much, now I get it….
