Dinner time

Thanks!

Nightwolf7578:I started with 3ds Max when I was 17 years old,two years ago,and Zbrush last year.I am self taught,(internet is the mother of knowledge:D ),but I wan’t to go to animation and visual effects academy,as soon as I finish high school, two months to go!!!.
mantodea: I am from Serbia.

What can I say! they are really incredible, awesome!!

very like the texture as well as the details on the body.

nice composition!

Cheers!:+1:

oh my god, i must have this model, ja_popov your a genius, as my name applies, i’m defently a freak on this dinosaur, i must have this model for refferences.

Nightwolf7578:
…I was also lucky to have a best friend who started to work 3d together with me,and as they say ,two heads are smarter than one, so that helped alot,if I would find out something new I would show him,and he would do the same,so that speeded up the process of learning:D .

Unbelievable work guys! I too am a great fan of the mighty Rex, and these are as good as any I’ve seen! Where are you in Serbia? I’m Australian, but my father was a Serb, from Novi Sad (actually a village called Titel near Novi Sad).

Keep up the fantastic work, you have a very bright future ahead!

slashpot:
what a coincidence,I too am from Novi Sad!!!

Cool animation.

A few suggestions. On the toes, they go from curled up to flared out too late, it’s like there’s no muscle driving them and they’re ‘ragdolled’ (if that makes sense).

The tongue doesn’t look natural either, it looks as though he has no control over it (like the toes). And perhaps bring the jaw closed sooner to match the sound of the roar.

The muscle deformation is awesome, you nailed that! VERY NICE.

Overall the animation is very good, these are just suggestions, a few things that I would do to the animation. Keep up the amazing work; can’t wait to see the Brach animation.

EvilSmiley:I agree with you on the toe animation and tongue, will be fixed. Thanks!

Just watched the animation. Regardles of some minor details, which would easily be fixed by a director pointing them out (the tongue does look as if he’d had a few beers over his thirst and he is walking a bit too cat-like, ie soft and careful, perhaps as a result of the booze:D . I am no expert on the T-Rex, but to me it looks as if the eyes could use some blinking), this is absolutley top notch. If I had a job to offer, you’d be hired. On the spot! Keep it up and your future in the biz will be a very bright one!:+1:

How long did it take you to create the models from start to finish?

I got to have this T-Rex model, if you don’t mind.

Wow, you really rock my friend. That’s really, really awesome work.

About your rigging and skinning part, I would have another question.
I know how I can rig a dino with bones in 3dsmax, but I had never time enough to skin my mesh with the rig.

I know it’s a very special thing, very complicated, and a lot of issues you can have during this job. So I am really fascinated about your artwork, and your deep knowledge from all the different parts in 3d.

You wrote you used for rigging CAT toolkit, I could read about this tool, and please correct me, I think it’s for rigging only, with no skinning options, right ?

But you can rig your mesh and making animations, right ?

And after rigging, you wrote you used CG SKin for skinning ??
I’ve never heared about that software, or is it a plugin ?

Could you tell us a little bit more about that and the process, how you did it ?
I mean the skinning is really a very important part, and very rare to find.

About your animation: Dude, you really rock, it’s damm good.

I am pretty sure you would make a lot of people very happy, if you could give us a little making of, concerning the process, how you did what, and for which purpose.

Of course your modelling and texturing is excellent too, but I think about that we do have many wonderfull tutorials out there, so as I said, would be a big honor for us to get from you a brief overview tutorial about your making of and how you could achieve such an excellence result, explaining the process and target-oriented to your final result, and a little bit more focused with the rigging and skinning part.

Congratulations, your artwork is really amazing.
So thank you for your eyecandy, I really love it.

Hope to hear from you soon,
take care,
capu

Indeed, A tutorial, (especially if it coontained the low poly 3ds max base t-rex mesh Heh) would be awesome. Best T-rex i’ve seen since jurrasic park!

Awesome rex model/texture man. Animation needs alot of work though…rig seems to handle it all fine, thumbs up for that too.
