Digital Jason - Aquaman

Hey guys, so I decided to wrap up this project finally :).

It’s been a hell of a ride for me as I had to redo the hair and skin several times, likeness other million times but I think, it’s totally worth it. As an observation I tend to take a lot of time for my personal projects, mostly because I take all of them as a research project itself. The reason why I chose to create a digital version of Jason Mamoa is because it had 2 major areas I wanted to work on: Likeness and Long messy hair in Xgen. I think the hair is where I got longer since I had to redo it from scratch twice and eventually realized the best is to divide the hair in different descriptions, since you will have more control on each area rather than depending so much on maps.

In general lines there is still so much to improve, specially skin and hair but getting it as a learning process should be better on the next chap, lets see :stuck_out_tongue:

Outstanding! Funny how he looks so different in your sculpt/2ond image without hair and beard than with it…incredibly well done Marlon :trophy:

Thanks Jaime! Indeed that was the major trick, trying to achieve the likeness working with the hair too.

So much hair everywhere :stuck_out_tongue:

Simply :trophy:

As already told you, this is amazing Marlon!!!

Great!

Wow! It’s fantastic! Looks amazing! It’s actually my favorite actor and movie. Who likes Aquaman too? By the way, if you are a movie fan as I am, I can recommend a great website where listed all the streaming websites. Just check it out https://streamingsites.com

Incredible!

AMAZING!

Fantastic Job!! I understand the time and dedication you spoke of. I feel the same way about my projects. I can spend months on a single project. I am still learning and have recently started grasping how to work with fibers. You did an absolutely amazing job and I hope to, someday soon, be near your level of capturing the realism and charisma of my models as you have done here. :muscle: :metal:
