Bringing ZBrush to Life: Advanced Visualization Techniques
SUNDAY, 7 AUGUST 12:30 PM - 1:45 PM
Andrew F. Smith
University of Michigan
This in-depth look at a sculpture created in ZBrush reviews sculpting techniques, methods used to create the character and scene, the steps needed to take this 3D scene and composite it properly as a 2D render in Photoshop, and how to bring the sculpture to life by printing it in 3D.
I am going to be walking through the creation of a very basic and simple character starting with ZSphere, sculpting techniques, polypainting, and finally rendering. The studio will be on a very simple character but I will be comparing the presentation to some of my more complex models like the one attached below which has been inspired by Tony Reynolds, a highly respected artist at SOE that contributed to my rendering knowledge. So please stop by if you want to participate in my studio presentation!
