First, robo, great work. I am really impressed and I love Dianna Agron as well. I, too, have set aside ZBrush for a crazy amount of time (almost a year) and I can feel you on the totally lost feeling when getting back into it. I’m ashamed to admit I have (had) never even tried zsketch until this week. Mac users will hate me for that
.
You have done a great job capturing her likeness. I was going to mention the one thing that I thought would help, but you addressed it in your last post: assymetry.
I was looking at your most recent update and I couldn’t detect any assymetry at first glance. It wasn’t until you mentioned it that I took a much closer look and can see it. Of course, Dianna has a nearly perfect symmetry anyway, but as you have noted, her left side is slightly smaller all around (not just a lower eye). Her smile is slightly twisted at her left corner of mouth. Try working on that and you will come far.
Also, your texture map is clearly half face duplicated and flipped. Try to note some of the dissimilarities in her face and add them to the texture in zbrush (or photoshop, or whatever). I can’t find any, but hey, maybe you can. Even if it is just a difference in how rosey one cheek is compared to the other or how she might have a tiny freckle. Here is a very large and very closeup pic of her that I found on google: http://thefamousphere.com/wp-content/gallery/dianna-agron-102709/dianna-agron-102709-3.jpg
Notice that her eyes are actually a dark green/olive, not brown. My eyes are the same way and most people think I am brown-eyed until they gaze into them (like Dianna could. ah, I can dream)
Anyway, I won’t drone on, but I want to see you finish this. Very good work, I say again.
