I tried to make a quick pose of a Dhunuchi Dancer in this sculpt…….
Durga Puja evenings are incomplete without “Dhunuchi Naach” (Dhunuchi Dance), it is a prominent ritual for Durga Aarti.Dhunuchi Naach is performed to thank the Goddess. This devotional dance is performed holding a Dhunuchi (Earthen Pot with a stem) which contains burning coconut husk, frankincense and camphor with burning coal at the bottom of the pot to keep the fire burning. Dancers hold two Dhunuchies in their hands or sometime also the third one on their chin. They dance to the rhythmic bits of Dhaak and Bells. Dhunuchi Naach is a traditional custom in Durga Puja.
