Demon Ogre

hey guys and girls,

this is my first model done with ZBrush 1.55b, just to rest of Senzaazione (my short movie inprogress)

I was using the demo version, but I liked so much what saw that I decided to buy the complete version last Thursday
Congrats to Pixolator and all ZBrush team!!! You ROCKS!!!

The base mesh is the low-poly of the plumber with a strong RELAX, just to maintain the edge loops topology. Modelling was made entirely in Zbrush (except for the base mesh, done in maya). The textures were painted directly in the model. Everything in this model is 3D, except for the background and small finishing touches in the eyes to improve the antialiasing and to add some highlights, done in photoshop.

I hope U enjoy and gimme some feedback to improve the work.

Thanks a lot for you kind words and your reception, friends. You are always welcome in my online portfolio. I have some tutorials about 3dsmax and maya there, besides a lot of traditional and digital art. I’ll update my online portfolio with a ZBrush session very soon

Hi Antropus and congratulations for your zplummer…Amazing details for the current version. I was wondering what your polycount was before import into zbrush ?
What was it then when you polished it off ??

rtyer, many thanks :+1:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Your work is EXCEPTIONALLY brilliant my friend!!

Your film looks absolutely stunning, and has elements of Monty Pythonesque/Terry Gilliam influences in there…

If you ever need any music to be written for it…then i’d be happy to help you in your quest!

Antropus’ site is an inspiration for us all, his facial rig, very interesting ! Thx mate for posting your control cage :)) I can’t figure out why but I don’t get that neat mesh result in Zbrush, what was the final polycount in Zbrush ??
Your texturing skills amaze me as well…very subtle and efficient.
Keep posting your stuff, I wonder what the old lady would look like after Z-brushing…perhaps you’ll show us one day.

very kewl work. out of the two additional versions of him or poses, I liked the first link you posted…the pov was nice. Congrats on a fine looking piece. I look forward to viewing your site. Should be easy to remember the addy, as I have put this guy as my wallpaper of the day. :+1:
