Hello community, how do i delete tools in zbrush? like the star tool or the sphere
hi,
as I know you can get rid of a tool (btw all tools) by opening another project. It can be your own or maybe one from Spotlight: ‘simple’ dynamesh sphere project, etc…
Otherwise I think we cannot make it ‘disapear’ totaly.
The star and the others are there by default and can’t be deleted.
As Doug Jones said, the Tools that are present in the palette when you launch ZBrush are permanent and cannot be removed.
In fact, the “star” that you’re wanting to remove is essential to ZBrush due to the fact that it is the base Polymesh 3D object upon which all polymesh objects are patterned. Every time you import a model, what ZBrush is actually doing behind the scenes is copying that Tool and then importing your selected OBJ into it. If you were able to remove that Tool you would actually be removing ZBrush’s ability to import mesh objects!
The moral of the story: The items that are present at launch are all there for a reason. Some, like the Sphere3D are parametric primitives which can be used as building blocks for more advanced figures. Others are actually building blocks for more advanced ZBrush functions.
