I would like to remove old, (4R8,7,6 etc) versions I have of ZBrush that are pre 2018 version. Are there any special precautions, or things to be aware of, or not have removed? Would use either Windows native removal tool or CCleaner.

I deleted 4r7 in the usual way and had no problems.
There’s an Uninstall folder in the ZBrush installation which contains a program you can run to uninstall that version. Or you can use the Windows Control panel. You might want to leave GoZ installed if you get a dialog box on that. Either method may leave some folders behind which you can just delete.
Should you ever need to re-install 2018 you can download the installer from My Licenses.
