I want to add more detail to my character, but when I go to level 6 I get about 8 Miljon polys. Even though I have a dual Xeon with 4 Gb of memory it makes my system very unstable.
So I thought the solution would be to edit all the limbs seperately in the final stage by hiding what I don’t want to work on and using the delete hidden feature. But whenever I delete hidden geometry it looks as if the geometry that is left has been smoothed or something like that. So I loose a lot of detail.
has anyone else noticed this and found a solution for this problem ? If not, is there another way to edit parts of an object seperately without getting visible seems ?
