Deformation and Subtools

Hi, I have a question about using the Deformation Subpalette along with Subtools.

I’m following the same steps in the tutorial here (the one for creating a wood bridge) to create a tiled roof.

What I’m doing is creating a single tile, duplicating it using Subtool Master and then moving it using transpose. The problem is moving it offsets it from its center pivot, and the deformations in the Deformation Subpalette no longer work correctly. Iv’e set pivot, but that recenters the object rather than moving the pivot. I’ve played about with the local transformation and local symetry, but to no avail.

The thing I dont understand is that its the same process as the above tutorial, and no where does it mention this problem, and using layers as it stated does not seem to work either. So I assume I’m just missing something, but what:qu:

You do not use deformations at that point. You only use deformations to create the “bend”, “warp” and “bow” layers – before you use TransPose. After that you now use those layers to create the warping effect for each board.
