Decrease/ Increase Focal Shift setup for Wacom Touch Ring

Hi there,

does anybody know a solution to get ZBrushs
“focal shift” & “ZIntensity”
adjust on Wacoms Cintique running?

I know I can use the shortcuts “o” and “u”
and use the slider there.
That´s ok.

But even better would be to use it, like I have already
setup the draw size adjustment.

Letter “s” for the first button on wacom cintique
beside the touch ring.
In the ZPlugin there´s the possibility to use shortcuts
for increase/ decrease brush size.
(the two brush buttons, right below MiscUtilities):

DrawSize
With that I can use the touchring very intuitive.

To use the other two functions:
“focal shift” & “ZIntensity”
it would highly appreciate if somebody out there,
could possibly tell me, if and where to find increase/ decrease
options in the menu, for this two functions.

Even on my Wacom Intuos Pro there are 4 buttons available for
the touch ring.
So if there´s a possibility to have increase/decrease for
“focal shift” & “ZIntensity”
I would have left also a spot for “RGB Insensity”.

However it would be awesome, if somebody come up with an idea.
Thank´s a lot for helping me out.

Regards

Hello @DarkStar ,

The only officially supported way from the ZBrush side to do this is to assign the letter shortcut for the slider as a Keystroke assignment. Some devices, in order to better support ZBrush, do assign application-specific functions to their touch strips and rings that work in ways not otherwise possible through ZBrush. However this is entirely up to the device maker.

Hello @Spyndel,

thanks for your reply.
I would not 100% agree with you in that point.
For me it´s not too senseful that ZBrush offers a solution in that matter for strokesize,
which completly works fine with it, but focal shift, RGB-, & ZIntensity is left out for some reason.

May some devise manufacturer can handle it better or more flexible.
But to blame Wacom for ZBrush´s unlogical structure issn´t the right way.
In particular Wacom is still #1 in tablets for pro.

Don´t get me wrong, I love ZBrush, but I would wish that both sides
would care about each other to help artists to feel free in the software and
handle it instinctive with their hardware.

But thanks for your answer, so I can quit searching for a solution.
