Deciphering Sub Tool Palette icons [Answered]

I apologise in advance for this question, but I cannot find in the supplied or online documentation the meanings for the highlighted icons in the sub tool palette. I know the eye symbol toggles visibility of the sub-tool and I’ve found one subtracts the sub-tool but the rest? Would someone please point me to the relevent documentation? I’m sure it’s right in front of my face somewhere (call it a man look)…

I agree that this could be better explained in the docs - I’ll see to that as soon as I can.

In the meantime there is a page here which contains information about remeshing SubTools and how the first three icons are used.
From left to right they are Add (default), Subtract or Intersection.

That leaves the paintbrush icon and the eye icon. The paintbrush icon turns polypaint on/off - it is the same as the Tool>Polypaint>Colorize switch. The eye icon, as you know already, controls the visibility of the SubTool. Clicking the eye icon of the selected SubTool will turn off visibility for all SubTools - click below the icon to just turn off the selected SubTool (it will remain in view until you switch to a different SubTool).

HTH,
