Cool work !:+1:

Thanks everyone.

To Mr. Micro. Yeah I’d love to pose him but it’s proving rather difficult. I can’t figure out how to pose a character with multiple sub-tools like this character. Unless there’s some kind of trick that I’m missing, I think I’m going to have to use insert mesh to make the number of sub-tools smaller, pose the body, and then manually update the positions of the remaining sub-tools. Not alot of fun, but thats what I’m working on right now.

Would love some advice on posing, thanks -Derek

DeadPool is a freaking riot! I’m laughing just thinking aboiut him. I love it!

Very nice dude :+1:

Still gotta drop in a background and add a few touches but here’s the initial pose.

Looks great!

How are you posing with subtools? Please help? How did you get the back straps to come along with model when u posed?

Awesome…I was wondering about the same thing:–> “How are you posing with subtools?”

Well, you did!!! Now is your turn to resolve the mystery:D

How finally you pose the overall multiobject? What was the trick you was missing?
Look just outstanding:+1:

Jettatore: Holy crap, does he look great Posed…

I mean he was great before, but seeing him posed just makes the transpose too look that much cooler to use…:+1:

Dickie

Yep! let us know this great finding

I think he used Insert Mesh, thus changing the subtools to plain old submeshes. Not an ideal solution, I hope Picologic has something in the pipe.

Yeah, I’m sorry to say I couldn’t find a shortcut to posing subtools, I had to do it by hand.

What I did was take the base character, with his lower sub-division levels in tact, and then posed him. Next I used the insert mesh function to isolate groups of sub-tools into one object. For example I merged the holster, gun, straps and buckles into one single mesh, then I appended that mesh to the posed character and manually placed it with transpose, then used the tweak tool for finer placement. It actually didn’t take long to get all of his accessories in place after posing, but hopefully there will be shortcuts in the future to make it even easier.

I will have a final update coming soon with the posed character composited into a background.

Thank you for all the nice comments, and good luck ZBrushing.

This looks pretty damn sweet, definitely post the final version with the background, it could make a nice desktop image. You should try doing like a small 5-second animation with this guy, maybe have him jump down and do some cool-looking stuff with his swords. I’m gonna show to my friend tonight who’s really into Marvel comics, he’ll think its awesome.

Looks pretty cool!

Posing the items separately like that would work well for normal items like swords and belts, but I bet it would be a pain for gloves. I hope that issue gets resolved soon! You did a good job with it though!
