No Way!!!
You cannot demand deactivating all my antivirus settings, in order to download, install or run zbrush 2020. This is a NoGo. I won’t download anything at all with pants all dropped down.
I hope tech support is already working on that problem.
Anti-Virus activities frequently return false positives and interfere with the installation and operation of all manner of software, which is to be expected because they are designed to prevent changes to your system. Disabling it during many types of installations is a common precaution, and has been for decades.
That said, if you have a suggestion for the program, you need to submit it to the developers directly via support ticket. This is a community forum, and your feedback is likely to be missed by anyone who actually develops the software otherwise.
I agree with Spyndel. Most Anti-Virus apps have an option to temporarily disable them for this very reason. As long as you’re not downloading unknown files or launching unknown programs while you’re downloading and installing ZBrush, there shouldn’t be a problem. I do this all the time and have been doing it for decades and have never had a problem and I am serious and diligent about security on my PC.
Thank you for your answers, folks.
I will still remain suspicious, though.
