Dark Elf Project (WIP)

Hi All

Would Like to share my current work in progress with you, C&C are welcome.

this character is based on concept art for Warhammer Online. you can find loads of cool art on there website.

Still have a bit of modelling to do, then back to maya for texturing and rigging. The idea hopefully is to eventually have cloth and hair sims and a little animation in the end.

It’s very good for now. Maybe her hands are little to big? Wainting for updates.

So here is a update on the hands, also i have currently been building the very complicated piece around the neck, i have the bottom piece built but its taking ages as there is no reference image for the back so i have just been trying do design a cool lookin back to it. Also i need to spend some time making the geometry fit.

Just another update

So I have been doing a little more work on the model since last time. Im starting to get close to the final base mesh before I start adding the fine detail in Zbrush. To be honest this is a lot more involved than I ever expected and i’m now struggling to keep focused and excited about the project because of the amount of time I have spent modelling, but should hopefully begin UV layout and texturing in the next week.

Looking pretty awesome already, love the concept. Curious how this one will evolve, keep it up! :slight_smile:

So today i spent all my time putting the belts and buckles on the arms. just a couple more bits to make and the modelling will be finished woo hoo

Gonna start texturing this model on monday hopefully, just starting to put in the fine details like chains and the small diamonds on the belts, next up is to fin the neck armour and zbrush a skull to hang from chains.

just thought i would share a quick ambient occlusion render from maya,

So far i really want to re-shape the boots because they just don’t sit right. other than that i would appreciate all comments and crits about the form because i have been staring at this thing for a while now and i am most likely missing things.
