I’m currently using ZBrush 3.5 r3.
I used to be able to use the colorize brush for flat painting, however it is now painting dark:
1 Set my color to white
2 Set material to Flat Color
3 Chose an alpha brush
4 Selected Layer > Fill (Canvas is now white)
5 Chose the Colorize brush
6 Set to RGB
7 Chose a colour and started painting
In previous versions of this would colorize the canvas, however it is now black. I am assuming there is something I need to set before hand ?

Nope, it appears to be “buggered”. I dont see anything that should be done that is not being done. It should work, it does not.
A number of functions of the 2.5 d aspect of the program seem to be suffering from neglect, in my opinion.
Cheers Scott, that’s a shame, just logged a support ticket with Pixologic. Hopefully they can fix the problem with the next build.
There is no solution at this time. The development team apparently didn’t have time to address this particular issue and still make the June release date. I would expect to see it fixed with ZBrush 4.
