Dala's Sketchbook

Hey everyone,

My name is Mattias Dahlqvist and im currently studying to become a technical artist in game production at Blekinge institute of Technology in sweden.

I’m currently working on a character for my Zbrush class in school and also on some characters for a board game we are making which has a pirate theme,
and i thought i would share them here for some feedback.

All models below are built up with Zspheres and rendered in zbrush at this point.

I have worked with zbrush for about a month now so i still got alot to learn, so any feedback is more then welcome

Welcome to ZBrushCentral Mattias
you definently improved yourself with taking part at the challenge and you took really a hard challenge if you look at the concept of the challange!
You learned a lot during your first post and now!
Would definently study anatomy more and proportions, but keep at it!
Will keep an eye on your progress and on the challenge on cghub,
Best regards and happy sculpting.

Hi, and thank you for the kind words
i will definitely study more human anatomy, it’s a very hard thing to master hehe
but ya. i think ive grown quite alot since i started using zbrush a half year ago, but i still got alot to learn
i joined the competition mostly cause it’s really good training working on a model from a great concept.
i know i won’t have a big shot at winning but yaa, it’s great training and i will have a bunch of fun along the ride

ps. i checked out your portfolio, i really like your daily doodles :). keep up the good work
Happy sculpting
