custom UI when upgrading to to 2018

Hi,

I’m looking to migrate my old custom UI over from Zbrush 4r7 to the new 2018. However it completely obliterates some of the new (good) features in 2018, it also changes the button styles back to the old pseudo 3D.

Does anyone have any tips on ways to migrate the tweaks I’ve made to my UI over the years in a more graceful way ? … or does everyone just recreate their custom UI by hand each time Zbrush upgrades ? … I wish this process of upgrading or moving to a new machine was more easily managed in Zbrush.

I was faced with that and found it quicker (about 90 minutes) and much less of a headache to rebuild my custom interface from scratch in 2018, and everything worked.

That’s what I’m coming to realise. Thanks for sharing your experience … I think this the way I’ll go.
