Custom Sub-Pallet Disappearing

Hello,

I was hoping to get some help on updating my UI with Custom Sub-Pallets. I spent about an hour yesterday setting up custom sub-pallets on my UI in the area of Image 1, basically the left shelf.

Everything seemed fine and I stored this Config. When I tried Zbrush this morning all that work had disappeared. Im not entirely sure what happened… Can a sub-pallete not exist on the left shelf of the working area without being in a custom menu as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve also attahced Image 2 of how the menu was setup overall before it disappeared.

Hi @Tahiti_02 ,

If I understand you correctly, custom menus/subpallettes work the same way as the standard palettes. You can open them, dock them in the left or right Trays, or assign a hotkey to open them anywhere, but they can’t be placed directly onto the UI. If you want these items on your UI you would have to place them in the UI directly rather than as a part of a custom menu.

Thank you for the information! I think you are correct, subpalletes can’t be added to the left or right shelves, only the left and right trays.

I guess a follow up question I have is how I can “label” or group UI elements? What Im trying to do is use the left shelf to group things like “Dynamesh” or “Zremesh”, and just want to have some sort of label to more easily distrigusih which buttons are part of which group. I know I can use UI fillers, but visually its not as effective. Thank you again for any help! @Spyndel
