…continuing with Custom Menus…
Is there a way to make that nice organized Sub-menu title with the orange dot?
Someone recently downloaded my files with the UI, was it you? Took me about 2+ years to get it to that point! It should be a great starting point once you understand the ZBrush interface a bit better.
No, I don’t think so. That is a special section within a sub-palette which is hard-coded into ZBrush. Currently there is no way to emulate that in a custom interface.
@ Doug: no have not downloaded it yet.
@ Marcus: thanks again!
I know I should be sculpting my next masterpiece, but lately I have become intrigued with the ZB interface! I even opened the “File” menu today.
The sliders shown in your screengrab work, but I have the ones from the deformation panel in my custom menu, they’re better for smaller tweaks ;). As arranged, when you tab to hide a bunch of stuff, some ‘mission critical’ ones are still shown
I’m really interested in the level of movement necessary to access a given function. I think the Spoltlight circle tools should be used for Customizing. IMHO, It’s a more efficient use of space.
One more question:
After assigning a Hotkey b How do you keep all of the Sub-menus from being open in a Custom Menu?
no matter how many times i close each one, save config, after ZB re-launch they are all open.
Preferences>one open subpallette
not sure why, but that’s not exactly working?
I’d like them closed by default.

Be sure to read INSTRUCTIONS.TXT; Spacebar/Right click menu is very useful. I’ve watched a couple tutorials where it was used a bunch of times.
AXIS plug helps>> http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?161588-quot-Axis-quot-Plugin-for-ZBrush-4r2
It’s easy to get sidetracked on customizing, model something
Did you investigate use UI groups? That may do as you wish. There are some items in my UI in a couple different places, makes it quicker(at times), to get to the buttons. You may have some stuff missing from what is shown in my screen grab(due to other items not present such as the Axis plug and ZTree/ZTree Helper, or they might not work as desired. Feedback good or bad in that thread would be fine. Most of my scripts are in text format, meaning you can get in there with a wrench if necessary
I do have the updated Axis for ZB4R6.
I’’’ look into ZTree/ZTree Helper, and GroupUI.
Thanks!
That was probably me Doug.
It was Doug, thanks again.
