Hi guys, I have a problem in 4R7 r3 where a custom menu sometimes loses all its buttons, keeping the palettes, and I can never get the menu working again. This really breaks my workflow as I have an already complex menu (Shane Olsen’s) with extra stuff added, and since it’s saved with the rest of the custom interface I have to lose all my interface changes to rebuild that menu or roll back to an old version. I love the mutable nature of the interface so I’m always changing it, and I want to create more custom menus but this problem crops up uncomfortably often.
I did some googling and found it discussed on Polycount back in 2012, but couldn’t find an answer beyond backing up your ui a lot :http://polycount.com/discussion/108613/zbrush-weirdness-disappearing-menu
I had a realisation the other day that the buttonless state of the menu is similar to other native menus when you’re not in edit mode yet; those menus only populate when you go into edit mode with a polymesh. Is it possible there’s some sort of bug in notifying the custom menu that it should initialise? The custom menu still appears to know what buttons it has since the palettes remain properly sized, it can’t be completely corrupted.
Thanks!
