Ok, so this has been really frustrating… I created a custom menu and dragged and dropped my most used brushes, but when I start Z Brush my brushes do not load… some of them do… but most of them are missing… any solutions? I have tried saving them to zstartup/brushpresets folder, zdata/brushpresets folder, and of course saving my UI and or config. Thanks in advance.
Are you clicking on a .zpr file to open it? The UI is context sensitive, it can lead to ‘stuff missing’ if a tool isn’t in edit mode.
Ok so I found a solution. Saving the UI to Users/Public/PublicDocuments/ZBrushData/ZStartup solved the problem. And I made sure that my brushes were saved to ZData/BrushPresets, because when I saved them to ZStartup/BrushPresets the brushes did not load, only the brushes that were living in the ZData/BrushPresets folder would load. So I moved them all to that folder and it works. Thanks anyways for the help!
Hi,
I currently work on ZBrush 2022.
I created a custom brush, which I would like to load when programs starts. The file is working if I manually load the brush from a Brush toolbox. However, methods suggested in old videos on ZClassRoom no longer seem to work.
To avoid unnecessary clutter, all folders I tried are placed in the following path: C:\Users\Public\Documents\ZBrushData2022\
, which I simply call <ZBrushData>
.
Frist, I tried to move the *.zbp file to <ZBrushData>\ZStartup\
, then into <ZBrushData>\ZStartup\BrushPresets\
but non of these worked. Then I found this post and tried <ZBrushData>\ZStartup\Zdata\
as well as <ZBrushData>\ZStartup\ZData\BrushPresets\
. Neither did those folders work.
Does anybody have any other suggestions on where I can move the brush file in roder to load it at startup?
Thanks
